ROOFTOP FILM SCREENING

Chega de Saudade is a 2007 drama film directed by Brazilian filmmaker Laís Bodanzky. Shot in the vibrant and pulsating setting of a traditional São Paulo dance hall, the film vividly captures the essence of Brazilian culture and the complex emotions tied to love, longing, and aging.

The movie intertwines the lives of diverse characters, whose stories unfold over the course of one evening at a ballroom. Through a rich tapestry of dance sequences, intimate dialogues, and poignant moments, Chega de Saudade offers a deep reflection on the human experience—exploring themes of desire, memory, and the passage of time. The film’s title, which translates to “No More Longing,” echoes the bittersweet emotions of its characters, each grappling with their own personal histories and dreams.

Participative Performance w/ Ateljee Symbio | RE/SISTERS @ MINO

Working with sounds and frequencies of underground fungi networks and human choreographies Ateljee Symbio will perform their participative ritual to ground ourselves in our circle, our world in our MINO community garden. Working with frequencies as a certain constant connection to nature and the fungal networks.

With these performative actions, they invite us to reconnect with nature, with each other and to become aware of underground networks that form according to the energy they are surrounded by, just as we too are formed by the energy and vibrations around us. Energy goes, where energy flows. We invite you to be part of this performance.

Screening of "Foragers" by Jumana Manna | RE/SISTERS @ MINO

We end the evening with a screening of “Foragers,” a film that captures the complexities and humor of foraging for wild edible plants in Palestine/Israel. Filmed in the Golan Heights, the Galilee, and Jerusalem, the movie blends fiction, documentary, and archival footage to explore the impact of Israeli nature protection laws on traditional practices. These restrictions have led to fines and trials for many Palestinians caught collecting native plants like ’akkoub and za’atar. The film follows the journey of these plants from the wild to the kitchen, highlighting the resilience of these traditions in the face of restrictive laws and raising critical questions about the politics of preservation.

MINO invites @breakfreebabes this Thursday 15.08! ☀️

Break free babes is the brainchild of @seforasam, a concept committed to being a safe haven for women by facilitating collective healing through conversation and the practice of art. Now, with SIStories: the open mic, they’re eager to expand this initiative and provide a space for all of you to share your voices. What’s been on your heart lately? What have you been writing, singing, rapping or dancing about? Register via link in bio and let yourself be heard. In safety. In sisterhood. 👩🏿‍🤝‍👩🏽❤️

Leila and the Wolves

ROOFTOP FILM SCREENING

Leila and the Wolves (ليلى والذئاب) is a 1984 drama film from Lebanese director Heiny Srour and assistant director Sabah Jabbour. It was filmed in often treacherous areas and the filming lasted seven years.

A film that weaves together re-enactments, archive footage and fairy-tale sequences to create a testament to the history of Lebanese and Palestinian women to the political struggles of the twentieth century.

'Leila is emblematic of a generation who is struggling consciously to rhyme braininess with femininity. It was new in Arab cinema. Even in world cinema, so far, no attempt has been made to embrace 80 years of history from a female and feminist point of view. History is cyclical and often burdensome. ‘

Oneday retreat - YOU ARE HER (YAH)

Oneday retreat - YOU ARE HER (YAH)

ONE DAY RETREAT - YOU ARE HER (YAH)

Oneday retreat - You are HER [YAH] is een nieuw welzijns concept gecreëerd door Natalia.

'Before you speak, your body speaks to you.'
